
KUCHING: Some 1, 305 pupils of SJK Chung Hua No.3 here attended the school’s Chinese New Year celebration yesterday.
The school headmaster, Moh Fok Choi in his brief speech said that every student must pay attention when their teachers are teaching in the classroom.
According to him, full attention and focus are needed so that they (students) can understand easily the knowledge delivered by their teachers while in the classroom without any interruption.
“When students concentrate while their teachers are teaching, they will find it easy to acquire the knowledge and become excellent students,” he said, adding that reviewing and completing homework is also one of the key features of a brilliant student.
“The intention of Chinese New Year is so that we receive new year’s arrivals which means that students must change their bad behaviours like not doing homework given by their teachers,” he said.
He also explained that although these pupils are under 13 years old they can become mature when they acquired knowledge.
“Another characteristic of an excellent student is to like reading various types of reading materials.
“In this context, pupils will become more mature when arguing by generating ideas that are in line with today’s modern era,” he said.
He also explained that all parties must be committed to producing as many excellent pupils as possible to develop our country in the future.
