MUKAH: Some 13 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) yesterday (Sept 14) received minor rural project (MRP) grants totalling RM352,000 provided by the Tellian constituency.
Among the recipients were Saberkas Tellian branch, Kampung Petanak St Jude Chapel and Kampung Tellian Tengah village development and security committee. Each received RM50,000.
The others were the Mukah Gospel Association, Mukah Tai San Ting Tua Pek Kong Believer’s Association, Mukah Methodist Church, Mukah Borneo Evangelical Mission and Mukah Area Longhouse Chief Association — RM30,000 each.
Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Tellian Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) received RM15,000, while SK Datuk Awang Udin PTA was given RM12,000, SK Dua Sungai PTA (RM10,000), United Chinese Association Mukah Division (RM10,000) and Mukah Tamu and Recreation Sports Club (RM5,000).
Present to hand over the cheques to the recipients was Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo at the Tellian constituency Service Centre here.
