1,000 pupils take part in Simanggang’s Malaysia Day parade

KUCHING: It was a colourful Malaysia Day celebration as about 1,000 pupils took part in a parade at Simanggang today.

The students of SJK (C) Chung Hua Simanggang dressed in various unique and beautiful traditional costumes walked along their school compound while flying the Jalur Gemilang (national flag) high.

They were joined along by their teachers, the School Management Board Committees as well as its Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).

The parade which took place around the school compound was to commemorate the Malaysia Day celebration.

Also those present were SJK (C) Chung Hua Simanggang Temenggong Kueh Aik Seng and its school principal Chin Kui Nam.
