KUCHING: Tabung Baitulmai Sarawak (TBS) in collaboration with the Muslim staff of Sarawak Marine Fisheries Department launched a ‘Kasih Ramadan’ programme at Ummah Distribution Centre (UDC), Medan Hamidah, Jalan Bako, Petra Jaya here today (April 15).
A total of 100 packs of rice donated by Muslim staff of Marine Fisheries Department have been channelled to Ummah Distribution Centre to be distributed to Asnaf registered with the Sarawak Baitulmal Fund.
Present to witness handover ceremony were TBS general manager Datuk Abang Mohd Shibli Abang Mohd Nailie and director of Sarawak Marine Fisheries Department Bohari Leng.
Yesterday, a total of 20 Asnaf families received food aid, which was distributed door-to-door in Kampung Rampangi, Petra Jaya.
Sarawak TBS is appealing to Muslims to contribute to ensure the success of “Kasih Ramadan’ programme.
Donations can be made at any TBS counter or UDC Payment Kiosk. The wider community is also welcome to visit the Ummah Distribution Centre Gallery for additional information on topics such as health, education, economy, and food.
Also present at the ceremony were TBS deputy general manager Bolhassan Iskandar Taibi, head of Finance and Administration Sector Sulaiman Mahili, head of Development and Endowment Sector Abang Faisal Abang Marzuki, deputy head of Sector Iskandar Allan and TBS officers.
